On December 14, 2023, the "Hong Kong Corporate Governance and ESG Excellence Awards 2023" Award Ceremony was held in Hong Kong, jointly organized by the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies and the Centre for Corporate Governance and Financial Policy of the Hong Kong Baptist University. Yuexiu Property was awarded the Honourable Mention in the "Awards of Excellence in ESG". Mr. Joseph Chan, the Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, and representatives from a number of listed companies in Hong Kong attended the ceremony. As a listed company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Yuexiu Property, a first-time participant in the Awards, stood out from more than 2,600 listed companies in Hong Kong, which demonstrated the recognition by external authoritative institutions of Yuexiu Property's ESG governance level and sustainability performance, and became the first domestic real estate company in the Greater Bay Area to win the Award since it was organized in 2007.

The Judging Panel of the "Hong Kong Corporate Governance and ESG Excellence Awards" pointed out in its comments that Yuexiu Property integrates ESG principles into its core operations, and has established a dedicated TCFD team to conduct assessments of climate-related risks and opportunities faced by its operations, and has formulated ESG practices covering green leasing and procurement. Through the use of IoT technology and big data, Yuexiu Property monitors carbon intensity and implements low-carbon transformation. These areas of work satisfy the Judging Panel and in recognition of the efforts, an Honourable Mention is given.

The Hong Kong Corporate Governance and ESG Excellence Awards, previously known as The Hong Kong Corporate Governance Excellence Awards, jointly organized by the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies (CHKLC) and the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), integrates the latest standards from the industry and academia with the aim of encouraging Hong Kong listed companies to strengthen their corporate and ESG governance. The Awards is supported by the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, and is highly authoritative and credible.

Listed companies in the competition this year covered financial services, real estate, petroleum, logistics and other fields, including a number of industry leaders, and only 14 listed companies won the award finally. After two rounds of selection, Yuexiu Property was honored by the Judging Panel for its outstanding achievements in the areas of environment, society and governance, which proves the Company's efforts and significant achievements in the construction of ESG system and sustainable development.
